Acrylic Pour - Ocean Painting for Bathroom

In my parent's house, our downstairs bathroom has a beach/ocean type theme to it, so the colors are more teal, salmon, cream, blue, etc...  I was asked based off of my last painting to try to create a pour that would not only capture those colors, but would also have the look of flowing water in it. Here's the end result.  Below it is the process I used.

This was a tough assignment for me, given I've only done about 5 of these so far.

Anyway, let's get started, here's a picture of the colors I used as I was getting set up.

I created 5 unique colors.  2 of the colors I had to mix, as I didn't really have the right color I was looking for.

My plan for the painting was to do a pour with the green, salmon, cream, and most of the blues.  I was then planning on adding more of the darker blue and doing a swipe with that blue to create the flowing water effect.

I had no idea how this was going to turn out, but here is the video of the whole process.

It didn't 100% turn out the way I thought it would, but it does have an interesting feel to it.  You do get the sense of running water, but I feel like I lost a lot of the vibrancy in the colors.  I think it was because tonally, they were all very similar.  Next time, I would remove the cream, use white, and probably add the pink color at a different time.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
